Jewish heritage Tour - You can choose either one of tours or indeed both
12 days 11 nights — Itinerary describes the tour plan for our Jewish heritage in India.
Day 1 Wednesday 20th November 2012 - Arrive Mumbai by either B A or Jet airlines transfer to the Residency Hotel Mumbai then introduction of the Jewish Communities of India
Day 2 Sightseeing fully guided throughout trip of the Jewish Landmarks of Mumbai which was the gateway to India Sassoon Docks and the total of four Synagogues
Day 3 Mumbai early morning boat to Mandva and drive through Jewish Villages to landing sites of Bene Israel and Eliyahoo Hannabi Rock. Evening Kabbalat Shabbat service in shul with kosher meal.
Day 4 Walk from hotel to Synagogue for Shabbat followed by kiddush and lunch at the Synagogue.
Day 5 We take a motor launch for 1 hour boat ride to Elephanta Island and caves & hanging gardens
Day 6 We fly to Kochi in the South of India by internal flight and visit Jew Town and visit the beautiful Pardesi Synagogue in the grounds of Maharaja of Cochin’s residence plus 4 other Synagogues.
Day 7 Morning transfer to Alappuzha to experience the famous enchanting backwater cruise of Kerala where we stay overnight watching the rural life & world go by on a house boat through coconut groves & quiet lagoons
Day 8 We take a picturesque drive through dense jungles and rich spice plantations to Thekkady and the Periyar Tiger Reserve in a rich evergreen forest and lake.
Day 9 Within the Periyar national park we visit further plantations and short day hikes
Day 10 Friday 29th November - Transfer to Cochin and lunch at Koder House followed by afternoon tour of the palace and harbour - Evening Shabbat services followed by Shabbat dinner
Day 11 Shabbat attendance at the 400 year old Pardesi Synagogue in Fort Cochin - Evening local dance
Day 12 Morning transfer to local airport for flight to Delhi—End of Jewish Heritage Tour

Day 12 Monday 2nd December 2012 Arrive Delhi - Afternoon sightseeing tour consisting of largest mosque in India, rickshaw ride to spice market & Gandhi memorial - Evening visit Judah Hyam hall once holding regular services
Day 13 Depart for Agra for the famous Taj Mahal, white marble palace made in memory of Mughal emperor favourite wife Mumtaz and thereafter we visit the Red Fort in Agra
Day 14 We leave for Jaipur visiting Fatehpur Sikri and the Abhaneri Stepwell
Day 15 Jaipur sightseeing including Amber Fort plus City Palace with free time to walk this pink city.
Day 16 Patan - Monkey Temple Galwar Bagh leads to Sun Temple for the best views of the city
Day 17 Friday 6th December We return to Delhi followed by visits to Qutab Complex [slave dynasty] & Hyumayan Tomb most famous structure after Taj Mahal in India - Attend Kabbalat Shabbat services
Day 18 We leave hotel to walk to Judah Hyam Synagogue for Shabbat services followed by lunch & free afternoon
Day 19 Check out Hotel and proceed to airport for flight home on Sunday 8th December 2012

What's Included:
Hotel room and breakfast—plus all meals which will be kosher or in strictly vegetarian restaurants
All transport costs, guide fees and museum entries. Including houseboat ferry fees. We have included in the price the cost of most meals plus full Shabbat meals, however the total of 5 lunches and 5 evening dinners have been left open for each guest to decide according to their personal choice
